Thanks for all the kind words concerning my piece etc, your's certainly deserved all the compliments it got, and more! The orchestra played very well, and all the other items of the evening were great I thought. My apology for the second timp note; Someone had turned the hand tuned one round so the lug was facing me, and on that note I was worried I could have hit the lug and given you a very inappropriate timp rimshot in the first pp bar!!! Sorry about that... Thanks for writing up the concert, and once again, well played! Sam p.s. - are you sure you mean to write for the percussion to play "louder" during your piece?!!
